The clinic consists of a blood reception and a blood department of 22 beds (14 single rooms and 4 doubles. The single rooms are assigned to patients with impaired immune system and who therefore need protection isolation).

The Department of Oncology investigates and treats various malignant tumour diseases and carries out specialised palliative care. The clinic consists of: 2 inpatient units (78B and 78C), Oncology reception (outpatient unit), Oncology Disease Department (where treatment with cytostatics, antibodies and other drugs is given), Radiation treatment department (where different types of radiation treatment are given daytime), Clinical Research and Development Unit (coordinates research and studies), Hospice (which offers specialized palliative care for patients with various diseases) and a palliative consulting team.

Oncology Department 78 B has 18 beds and carries out both scheduled and emergency medical care. Here patients are treated with different types of tumour diseases. Common diagnoses include lymphoma (lymphatic system disorders) and urinary tract and genitourinary cancer. The nursing time may vary from a day to several weeks. Patients undergoing brachytherapy are usually cared for at this department in connection with the procedure.

Oncology Department 78 C has 15 beds and carries out both scheduled and emergency medical care. Here patients are treated with different types of tumour diseases. Common diagnoses include breast cancer, head and neck tumours, sarcoma and gastrointestinal cancer. The nursing time may vary from a day to several weeks. Patients undergoing radiotherapy with protons are usually treated with this section during treatment.

Training is offered both internally and externally and for those who are interested, it is possible to rotate between the departments.

Both Departments conduct clinical research and train students and residents.
